Immediate opening: rebar foreman (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Worcestershire, England. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day to day you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
