Fettler — Aurora County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Aurora County, South Dakota. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection You will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch.
