Argon welding operator • Ellis County, Oklahoma

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Ellis County, Oklahoma. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 6+ years on the tools preferred.
