Backhoe operator • Del Norte County, California

Now hiring: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Del Norte County, California. You will be based on a pipeline and trenching crew. On a typical shift you will carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds. Ideal candidate: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
