Core maker — York County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in York County, Maine. You will be based on the moulding line. The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
