Rigger • Troup County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rigger in Troup County, Georgia. The job is at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
