Sheet metal welder — Tarrant County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Tarrant County, Texas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
