Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Foard County, Texas. You will work on a busy residential building site. You should have: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
