Nursery worker — Riley County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a nursery worker in Riley County, Kansas. You will be based at a landscaping company. Your main tasks: • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage 1+ years on the tools preferred.
