Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Live Oak County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
