Join our team: horizontal milling machine operator (Alaska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. The job is in a toolroom. The role involves: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
