Now hiring: we are hiring an insulation worker in Fairfax County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Fit acoustic insulation to partition walls and floating floors • Install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape • Measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings • Wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding • Torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations • Carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks Requirements: • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel • Able to read construction drawings and specifications Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
