Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Humboldt County, California. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Ideal candidate: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) Your main tasks: • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger Full-time with occasional weekends.
