Concrete worker — Essex County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Essex County, New York. You will discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
