Urgent requirement: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Chilton County, Alabama. The job is on a high-rise building site. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals On a typical shift you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. 5+ years on the tools preferred. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
