We are recruiting: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Wabash County, Illinois. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection The role involves: • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand 6+ years on the tools preferred.
