Now hiring: we are hiring a pressman in Wabash County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
