Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Kinney County, Texas. You will be based at a garment factory. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
