Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Lafia, Nasarawa State. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
