Furnace operator — Pittsylvania County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
