Core maker wanted in Massac County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Massac County, Illinois. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
