Pastry baker — Kings County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pastry baker in Kings County, New York. You will work at a café with an on-site bakery. You should have: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Day-to-day duties: • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
