Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Union County, Georgia. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. The role involves clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $260 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
