Precision welder — Mason County

Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Mason County, Illinois. You will work on an industrial construction site. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
