Steel fixer — Izard County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Izard County, Arkansas. You will be based on a busy residential building site. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
