Immediate opening: we are hiring a machine setter-operator in Pike County, Illinois. The job is on a production line. What we are looking for: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor Day to day you will monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet; report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line; change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers; set up and start the machine as per the job card. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
