Line cook — Island County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a line cook in Island County, Washington. The job is in a catering banquet kitchen. The role involves marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat. Requirements: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
