Panel welder — Caerphilly County Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. You will be based on a structural steel site. The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. £2,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
