Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Full-time, day shift.
