Machine operator (earthworks) — Clayton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Clayton County, Georgia. You will be based on a housing development site. The role involves: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient What we are looking for: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) We offer $29 per hour plus benefits.
