Fabricator-welder — Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Monroe County, Iowa. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
