Urgent requirement: overlocker operator (Michigan)

Join our team: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Manistee County, Michigan. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
