Brick and block layer wanted in Northumberland County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Northumberland County, Virginia. You will be based on a commercial construction site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day to day you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
