Immediate opening: machine operator (earthworks) (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. You will dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs. What we are looking for: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Six days a week, one day off.
