Now hiring: foundry worker (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Kent County, Michigan. The role involves: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
