Foundry operative — Clackmannanshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
