Refrigeration and AC mechanic — Boone County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a refrigeration and AC mechanic in Boone County, Iowa. The role involves: • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture You should have: • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
