Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead.
