Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Carroll County, Virginia. The job is at a shipyard. Your main tasks: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
