Vacuum press operator — Charlevoix County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Charlevoix County, Michigan. The job is at a textile finishing unit. The role involves keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Six days a week, one day off.
