We are recruiting: foundry worker (Texas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in San Patricio County, Texas. Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills Pay around $28 per hour, based on your experience.
