Precision welder wanted in DeWitt County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in DeWitt County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through The role involves: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $6,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
