Immediate opening: foundry labourer (Minnesota)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Freeborn County, Minnesota. You will work on the moulding line. The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Full-time with occasional weekends.
