Gtaw welder — Pointe Coupee Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. You will work on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On a typical shift you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
