Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Adams County, Illinois. The job is at a garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
