Rigger — Echols County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Echols County, Georgia. You will work at a shipyard. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
