Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Burke County, North Carolina. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity 6+ years on the tools preferred.
