Now hiring: we are hiring a tyre service technician in Schoharie County, New York. The job is in a commercial truck tyre depot. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Handle truck and bus tyres, including split-rim assemblies • Remove and refit hub caps and locking wheel nuts • Fit new tyres onto rims and seat the bead correctly • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine Requirements: • Knowledge of correct torque settings and TPMS resets • Valid driving licence for mobile fitting roles • A good eye for tread wear and sidewall damage 4+ years on the tools preferred.
