Now hiring: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in Umu-Nneochi, Abia State. You will work at a precast concrete yard. On the job you will handle: • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour You should have: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules Rotating shifts.
