Join our team: we are hiring an elevator technician in Dorset, England. You will work on a lift modernisation project. On a typical shift you will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
